Dear RK fans,

Due to circumstances beyond any of our control, Matthew Thiessen needed to
leave the Winter Wonder Slam last evening on a red eye flight to Canton. It
is with great sadness to report that Matt’s mother suffered a severe heart
attack Monday evening. Matt flew home to be with his family and at his
mother’s side as she undergoes quadruple bypass surgery. We truly
appreciate your understanding and prayers during this highly emotional time.

In an effort to make most of this situation, the remaining members of
Relient K (Ethan, John and Jon) will stay out for the last four (4) shows
and play host to Tim Skipper of House of Heroes as they put together a
medley of Holiday music and fan favorites. As an effort to make the shows
special, we will host a contest to have a fan club member join the guys on
stage to perform ‘Sadie Hawkins Dance’!

Again, we thank you for your prayers and wish you joy in your hearts during
the Christmas season.

I have been all about Deas Vail for years, so when we came across the
opportunity to sign them, it just made sense. I know this band has so
many great songs still to come, and I am so excited about being able
to work with them. I believe they will really set a precedent for the
kind of music that we will put out at Mono Vs Stereo, and I couldn’t
think of a better first release for our new label. I am convinced that
anyone who takes time to listen will agree that this band is special.

Hey friends!

A lot has been happening in our little Relient K camp… Over the next few months we’ll correct the kink that we’ve put in our garden hose of news and music.  Our new record, Forget and Not Slow Down, is completely finished, and its ready to hit your ears on October 6th.  We’ll have all the goodies for you (artwork, track list, pre-orders etc…) soon.  We can’t wait to get you guys as excited as we are about the release.

For now, the hot item of news is our fall tour.   It’ll be Barcelona, Copeland, and us.  It’s called A Three Hour Tour, and I think you’re going to want to try to be at one of the following dates.  Until then, enjoy these fleeting days of summer!
